Dr. Pool has over 25 years of experience as a scientist, educator and consultant focused on identifying the scientific mechanisms behind influence, power, leadership and organizational culture that can be applied to organizational transformations. His passion for applying science-based interventions to address organizational issues has led to numerous peer-reviewed empirical papers, speaking engagements at national conferences, a National Science Foundation grant for his research on social norms and behavior prediction, and several professional development grants. In addition, Dr. Pool is Chair of the nationally ranked Industrial/Organizational Psychology Graduate Department at St. Mary’s University in San Antonio, Texas where he teaches graduate courses on leadership development, assessment centers, employee selection, measurement, and organizational behavior.
