His qualifications include Ordinary and Higher National Certificates in Naval Architecture and Shipbuilding and a Degree in Ship Science, from the University of Southampton (UK. He is a Fellow of the Society of Naval Architects and Marine Engineers (USA), a Fellow of the Royal Institution of Naval Architects (UK), a Chartered Engineer (UK) and a European Engineer (France). He is based in Melbourne, Australia.
