Leland E. Tate
Leland Tate is an energetic, results-oriented leader with record of solving commercial and operational challenges in the United States and overseas. He has extensive experience in building and leading international and multi-cultural organizations to monetize complex projects with expertise in production sharing contracts, equity determinations, co-owner and other stake-holder negotiations.
His leadership roles in the oil & gas industry include extensive contract negotiations with national oil companies in Algeria, Indonesia, Israel, the Netherlands, Tunisia and the United Kingdom. A few of his career highlights include key management roles: in an aggressive deepwater Gulf of Mexico company that deployed the world’s first tri-column floating deepwater production and drilling system; in the planning and startup of three major Alaska fields: Prudhoe Bay, Kuparuk and Lisburne; and in the implementation of $300 million total annual exploration programs in the Far East, Middle East, North Sea, SE Asia, and South America.
