Mike Bednarz has 37 years’ experience in management, operations, and engineering in upstream oil & gas. His experience includes both rig-based and non-rig activities such as Wireline, both slickline and E-line, Coiled Tubing, HWO, Completions, Deepwater Well Intervention, Well Stimulation, and Deepwater Plug and Abandonment operations and engineering. He has worked for Otis Engineering, Halliburton, Weatherford, and BP Gulf of Mexico. He has also lived and travelled overseas in Saudi Arabia, Abu Dhabi, Australia, and Venezuela. Mike’s expertise includes Deepwater Regulatory requirements, Risk assessments and mitigation, Incident and failure Investigation and he was involved in the Deepwater Horizon Response and led a portion of the Top Kill response by developing detailed cementing procedures.
