William Zakroff (“Zak”) has been a management consultant for over 35 years specializing in strategic assessments, business planning, and special projects for a broad range of industrial clients. He has accumulated considerable expertise in a number of sectors including: marine construction and installation services, oil and gas exploration and production, oilfield equipment and services, pipelines, power generation, renewable energy systems, specialty chemicals, specialty materials, subsea technologies, and telecom services. Clients have included: ABB Vetco Gray, BP, Canyon Offshore, Daniel, FMC, Hydril, PetroCom, Stewart & Stevenson, Vaalco Energy, Valmont Industries, and Weatherford International. Zak has also provided advisory services on private equity transactions and has been co-founder on a number of tech ventures. He is on the Advisory Board of Ingenero, a Mumbai based engineering company serving the global petrochemical industry, and for eight years was a Non-Executive Director on the Board of Hardide plc, a carbide coatings firm traded on the London Stock Exchange. Zak began his career in the Engineered Materials Group of the General Electric Company where he became general manager of a ceramics venture he led from lab scale to full commercial production. He was formerly manager of business development in a GE unit that was the world’s largest manufacturer of carbide and diamond materials for drill bits where he established JVs in Japan and South Africa, evaluated acquisitions, and directed plant expansions.
